EFAWA SHOW HORSE COMMITTEE

RULES GOVERNING THE UNOFFICAL RING

The following are rules governing the unofficial Show Horse classes

1. Ponies /horses competing in the unofficial ring can be either EFA registered or unregistered.

2. Ponies /horses competing in the unofficial ring must not hold a current EFA Show Horse Performance card from any State.

3. Ponies/horses that compete in the unofficial ring may not compete in the official ring with a different rider (including leading rein, show pony, show hunter and working hunter).

4. Owners of official ponies/horses can apply to the WA Show Horse Committee to have an official pony/horse accepted to compete in the unofficial ring. The pony/horse must then only compete in the unofficial ring for a period of no less than 12 months. The Committee will consider each case on its merit. A Down Grading form can be found on the Show Horse Promotions website from December 1st 2008.

5. Should the pony/horse, as stated above, be sold within the 12 month period the new owner may apply to the WA Show Horse Committee to request the have the pony/horse recommence competition in the official ring. Similarly, if the pony is sold within the 12 month period to another unofficial rider they may also apply for a further 12 months.

6. Riders who have competed in the official ring are not eligible to ride an unofficial pony in the unofficial ring.
